London -

London was truly not my favorite place.  I was slightly disappointed in it actually.  It could easily have been partly that the travel agency put us in a hotel that really was not walkable to anywhere.  I wanted to be near pubs and local favorites so we got a taste of London life.  Instead we were put in a hotel that was off behind several businesses and basically dead cornered.  Even our drivers could not really stop there.  They weren't allowed to linger longer than 5 minutes or they could be fined.  We arrived in London at 9am after an all night flight from New York.  Our hotel was not accommodating at all - we were told we could not go to a room until check in time at 4pm.  We needed showers and a nap but instead we got attitude.  Of all the places we visited the staff at this hotel was the rudest and actually our only rude hosts.  We just weren't happy here.

We did get out to see Kensington Park, it was about 1.5 miles from our hotel and we enjoyed it but would have enjoyed it much more had we been clean and rested.

Who doesn't want to ride a double decker bus??  Make sure everyone that enters has their own credit or debit card otherwise they can't ride.  Such a strange rule.

This lake is at Kensington Park in London.

Sculpture from a famous artist but I can't remember which one.

An old building in Kensington Park.

This was the center of some sort of United Nations Fountain.

All of these sculptures were a part of at sit at the 4 corners of the fountain

Waterstones Book store in Piccadilly Circus.  Phoenix and I spent some time in there.  Huge bookstore and just really nice.
